Use a simple recording setup
A modern phone, stable support, quiet room and soft front-facing light are usually enough. Frame yourself according to the casting brief and keep the background neutral.
Record a short test first. Check that your voice is clear, the image is not overexposed and the camera is at roughly eye level.
Perform for the camera, not the room
Screen acting generally needs smaller, more specific choices than stage acting. Listen to the reader, keep your eyeline consistent and avoid excessive gestures unless the scene requires them.
Do several takes with genuine variation instead of repeating the same performance. Choose the take that feels truthful and clear, not merely the most dramatic.
Follow submission instructions exactly
If the casting notice asks for a slate, file name format, landscape framing or maximum duration, follow it. Small instruction errors can make your submission difficult to review.
Upload only through the requested channel and keep a copy of what you submitted. Never send sensitive documents unless the production has been verified and there is a legitimate need.
