Physical preparation must remain repeatable
Action scenes are filmed in pieces. An actor may repeat a turn, run, fall or reaction many times from different camera angles. Consistency helps editors join the material.
Practice a short line while picking up an object at the same word every take. It is a simple way to develop awareness of physical continuity.
Play the stakes, not the size of the movie
A large franchise can tempt performers to act larger simply because the production is large. Close-ups still respond to truthful thought.
For audition work, reduce the scene to the immediate human problem. Who is in danger? What information do you need? What are you hiding? Specific stakes are easier to perform than general heroism.
Understand safety choreography
